Patrick-Earl Barnes, 34, is a street artist with a vision.
He hopes to develop the shirt and tie theme into a public awareness so that when he launches his business dream, designer shirts & ties, his name recognition will already be there. He's using his legal background to ensure the trademarks and such are all in place when he launches his venture.
His little pieces remind me of the folk art of rural east texas self-taughts who use fabrics as artistic medium. These pieces are about the size of ones' palm yet say so much about black reflections on white corporate dogma and its trappings and uniformity.
I thought what stunning examples of urban primitive artistry all his images are and hope to feature more pieces as these sell, as I'm sure some savvy folk art collector will snag these up, individually or as a set.
